Project Overview
As part of a sub-contract for Benton Associates (now called FAME - www.fame.com), Simply Effective
utilized aspects of the Effective Process, produced architecture and implemented code for a derivative orientated
portfolio management system, for Royal Trust, Canada (a subsidiary of Royal Bank, Canada).
Project Details
- Provided consulting regarding the need to move towards a 3-tier architecture with COM, C++, Windows NT and Oracle.
- Produced documents that outlined proposals, such as best practices for refactoring the existing monolithic architecture
and adopting a three-tier architecture.
- Responsibility for the product analysis, design and implementation.
- Extensive involvement with senior management and potential users of the new system.
- Hands-on development for the refactoring of the existing code.
